Last August 19, 2007, Saks Fifth Avenue opened its largets shoe department store in New York City.  The department warrants its own zipcode of 10022 and has opened the store with over 10,000 pairs of shoes.

Debra Messing was even caught with celebrity Philip Bloch in the store for they were invited to the cut the ribbons on its opening day.

Bloch said, “You couldn’t have kept us away. When they asked me to come I thought Saks…ahhh …Debra …ahhh …shoes …ahhh…this could be trouble.” Messing’s first purchase was a pair of Louboutin peep-toe pumps for $950.
