Fashion Empress

Los Angeles based and very talented Asian designer, Monique Lhuillier showcased the island’s color palette. She features the themes of the beach turquois water and the sandy beaches. Adding to the natural colors are the wheat stalks which are colored yellow. All these are part of Lhuillier’s Spring Collection for 2009.

The designs are fresh yet dramatic. They are meant to emphasize the feminie form and elongated them to keep up with the long dresses.

The collection are mixes of fancy blouses, sporty skirts and blazers, skinny pants and on-the-go attires for the jet setters.

But Lhuillier never disappointed her followers with her sets of gowns that made a dazzling appearance into the cat walk. Her gowns contained great volume, a lot of lace and the illussion of the sexy skin almost visible to the eyes. As Lhuillier stated, “Spring/Summer is about great skin and showing if off.”
