Steampunk is based from the counter-intuitive sci-fi concept. It shows something about how the future looks like while it also gives a sense of what was in the past.  The main connection of Steampunk from the past is usually from the Victorian era England. The technology is pre-digital and steam-powered, but it’s also quite modern and computer-driven. Analog computers, that is, that float over cities on dirigibles. So this has confused you,  hasn’t it?
